Application & Usage
- Safety First: Inspect the multimeter test leads fluke for any signs of damage or exposed metal before use. Ensure the meter is set to the correct function.
- Measuring Voltage: Turn the rotary dial to the V (AC or DC) setting. Connect the black lead to the COM jack and the red lead to the V/Ω jack. Apply probes to the circuit in parallel.
- Measuring Resistance: Turn off power to the circuit. Set the dial to the Ω symbol. Touch the probes across the component to read the resistance value.
- Measuring Current: Turn off circuit power. Move the red lead to the 10A or mA jack. Set the dial to A (Amps). Connect the meter in series with the circuit, then restore power.
